PORT PIRIE – 30TH May
We found we needed a sacrificial anode for our HWS and the nearest place we could find one was Port Pirie so off we headed. It’s a very pretty place also on the Gulf of Spencer, the day was the sunniest we have had to date and we really enjoyed the trip.We never thought to depressurize the HWS before taking out the old anode and so filthy white water absolutely saturated Ian covering his glasses too, luckily it was warm so we could have a good laugh over it.
Meanwhile back in Port Augusta we visited the spot where Mathew Flinders landed in 1802soaking up the ambience looking around from a vantage point it was fascinating to think that the landscape would not have changed a great deal in that time.
