CLIFF HEAD NORTH

This is a rest area right alongside the Indian Ocean, we stayed for a week along with many other travellers. The area used to be used a great deal by cray fishermen with lots of shacks dotted along the coastline, although the government had lots pulled down there are still quite a few shacks left. We spent many hours shell collecting walking for miles and found quite a few really nice large ones, there was also a very large sea eagle nest complete with two birds, several cormorants and one day we had a real treat when three dolphins slowly made their way along the shore line catching fish.

We discovered once we had pulled out towards Perth that CHOGM was on and the cara parks full so we once again marked time in a RA amusing ourselves by photographing the local wildflowers. This RA was a leadin for a track which ran down to the ocean and we were overrun by hordes of four wheel drives letting down tyres roaring off to return later to pump tyres back up and head off again.
